Emote.
Sometimes I have difficulty differentiating between emotions. A little bit of anxiety can be misconstrued as homesickness. But which home? Perhaps it’s a particular person I long for. But which person? But maybe it’s just overall discontent.
Maybe I need a beer.

I currently don’t live up to the intellectual, educational and other success standards of my family. If I were creative or an artist of some sort, I would at least have enough of an excuse to make up for it.

Reevaluate.
Mountains, I’ve discovered, provide opportunity. I can’t help but feel like everything I do here at Huletts is all about becoming a better human being. And a better Manuele.
Kayaking, swimming, rollerblading, hiking, making bracelets, talking politics w/ family, watching my aunt paint and cousin tend to his pet turtle, reading newspapers and magazines and books. That was just the first day.
It changes my goals a little bit. It changes me a little bit. Florida feels millions of miles and a hundred years away when I’m at Huletts.

FL>NY
On the verge of my NY trip, this is the first time since moving to Florida that I’ll be immersing myself in my pre-Florida life. I’ll be spending time solely with people that I’ve known since birth. My overall feeling? I’m sad to be leaving my FL friends.
It’s almost like traveling back in time for a week. But Florida, I like the path we’re on! Press pause and we’ll pick up where we left off. You know who you are.
